Main Reasons to Make a Film

indie filmmaking Blog Podcast explores the best ways for you to produce direct and get your film seen by the biggest possible audience

Why do  people make films whether it is a 90 minute feature film or a documentary film or a Short Film.

Here are the main reasons why filmmakers love to make films.

  1. The first reason is the sense  of adventure and excitement that happens once you decide to make a film.
  2. The second reason is the Audience. Filmmakers love the fact that millions of people see their creation around the world.
  3. The people you meet. You will meet new actors and crew with every film.
  4. Locations:  Many Filmmakers like shooting films on actual locations and enjoy going to new places
  5. Love of Editing. Once filmmakers  have shot their film, they love to edit. Editing a film is so much fun and the hours fly by as a  Filmmaker cuts and make their film.
  6. Music.  Filmmakers love adding music to their films. It is one of the fun parts of making a film. They can work with a composer or add stock music.

The above are some of the reasons filmmakers love to make films. But the most important reason is to tell a  great story.

A Filmmaker has to decide to make a film and they must have a  schedule with deadlines for each phase of the filmmaking process. Once a Filmmaker has set deadlines for their film production, they can move mountains.
